Africa 100m record holder Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala has qualified into the second round in 100m at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The reigning Commonwealth Games 100m champion won heat 2 win an impressive time of 10.o8 as he launched the Olympic campaign.
Omanyala faced off with Italian Chituru Ali, Germany’s Joshua Hartmann and Devin Augustine.
With his 9.79, Omanyala did not match his season best he clocked at the Kenyan Olympic trials at Nyayo stadium.
