Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia fc will be electing their officials on August 8th.
The elections will be held this year just before the new season kicks off as per the league’s calendar after club’s virtual meeting convened by Chairman Ambrose Rachier where members agreed to elect new officials to manage the club for the next four years.
Rachier added that their term in office is over and the club’s constitution stipulates that fresh elections should be held after every four years. As opposed to the previous 11 positions available, only four officials will be elected
“It’s only proper to conduct an election as indicated in the club’s constitution and that is after every four years. We will be put up a board to oversee the process and we will give more direction to those wishing to vie for any post but only four posts will be available – Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary General and Treasurer,” noted Rachier.
