Gor Mahia extended their winning ways against AFC Leopards in the highly profiled Mashemeji Derby at Mois Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The win was good for defending champions as they proved that AFC lacks muscles to wrestle them down after they extended their 2-0 win in the first leg to today’s 1-3 to win the title with three matches left in the Kenya Premier League (KPL).
Former Zoo Kericho striker Nicholas Kipkirui netted a brace with Rwandese Jaques Tuyisenge scoring a goal before before Vincent Oburu struck a consolation as Leopards will wait for another season to remember the 2016 winning against Gor who clinched their 18th title.
Tusker FC dominated against relegation threatened Vihiga United in another KPL match at Mumias Complex.
Tusker defender David Majak and Boniface Muchiri secured a 1-2 win for Tusker as Amos Kigadi scored a consolation for Vihiga.
Bandari were 3-0 winners against Zoo Kericho at Mbaraki stadium.
But there were two draws in other matches. Western Stima played to a barren draw against former champions Mathare united in the first match at Kasarani while Chemelil Sugar was held to a barren draw by visiting Ulinzi Stars at Chemelil Sports Complex.
