Run away champions Gor Mahia edged out Kakamega Homboyz by a solitary goal to increase their chances of reclaiming the Kenya Premier League title.
Samuel Thiong’o scored in his own net as Gor beat their hosts Homeboyz 1-0 at the Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega County.
The victory handed multiple champions a chance to reclaim the title, moving to 64 points, ten better than their rivals AFC Leopards on 55 while Homeboyz stayed in 4th with 47 points as champions Kenya Police remains 3rd with 4 points.
