GSU in maiden Africa win

Reigning Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) champions General Service Unit (GSU) registered their maiden win in the third day of Men’s Africa Volleyball Club championships in Cairo, Egypt today.

The Kenyan club edged out AS FAG in straight sets of 25-13, 25-12 and 25-14 after losing two of their opening matches.

Yesterday, GSU suffered a 3-2(25-20,25-23,18-25,25-27,15-8) to Uganda champions Nemo Stars in the East African derby, which was the second defeat with a 3-2(23-25,25-20,17-25,15-10) loss to Libya’s Asaria on Monday.

On Tuesday, Kenyan champions Prison Kenya lost 3-1(22-25,25-19,25-19,29-27) to Libya’s Swehly after winning 3-0(25-14,25-20,25-23) over Ethiopia’s Wolaitta.
