Reigning Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) champion General Service Unit (GSV) and former champions Kenya Prison were the winners of the KVF National Open Championships for men and women respectively that came to an end today in Nyeri.

GSU, the winners of Africa Merchant Assurance Company (AMACO) beat their perennial rivals Prison Kenya in straight sets of 25-15, 25-23 and 26-24 at the final of the tournament.
The meeting renewed the final of Amaco a month ago held at Eldoret Polytechnic Ground where GSU won by similar margin.
In the women Prison Kenya were the winners of the title edging out reigning champions Kenya Pipeline (KPC) 3-0 (25-16, 27-25 and 25-20).
The wardress had a sweet revenge against KPC, the reigning Africa Club championships bronze medalist who beat them at the Amaco finals in Eldoret.
