Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Shield defending champions AFC Leopards netted 4-0 past Rainforest to keep their title defence alive.
Ezekiel Odera’s brace and a goal each by Jaffery Owitin and Ray Omondi completing the score for the 4-0 scoreline to move into the best of 16.

The second round of the SportPesa Shield continued on Saturday 23 June across the country with a few shocks as a number of National Super League high fliers were eliminated from the competition by a number of lower ranked opposition.
The biggest shocker of them all was without doubt, Ushuru FC’s elimination at the hands of Mwatate United at Wundanyi Stadium. The NSL league leaders were humbled 2 – 0 to join three other second tier sides, KCB Modern Coast Rangers and Kisumu AllStars in exiting the competition.
KCB were handed a 2 – 1 beating by Leysa at Camp Toyoyo while Kisumu AllStars fell 1 – 4 to River Plate at Moi Stadium in Kisumu. Ligi Ndogo delivered the blow for Modern Coast 3 – 2 on post match penalties at Hope Center after a 0 – 0 draw in regular time.
Tusker and Kariobangi Sharks booked their places in the next round after beating fellow premier league opponents, while Posta Rangers took a 1 – 0 win over Kisumu Hot Stars in the other matches on Saturday.
