GSU, Kenya Prison earn all points in Kapsabet

Kenya Volleyball Federation (KFV) champions General Service Unit (GSU) and Kenya Prisons collected maximum points at the 7th and final leg at Kapsabet Showground in Nandi County on Thursday.

GSU won all their matches while Kenya Prison were awarded points without sweating after their opponents failed to turn up for the championships.

The champions, GSU defeated their rivals Kenya Prison 3-2 in 23-25, 33-31, 15-25, 25-16 and 15-9 to add on their 3-0 win over Prison Mombasa in 25-07, 25-17 and 25-22.

In other men’s results Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) 2-3 (19-25, 21-25, 25-23, 28-26 and 13-15), Administration Police of Kenya (APK) beat Kenya Defence Forces in 15-25, 15-25 and 19-25, Equity Bank edged out Prison Mombas Prison 3-2 (24-26,, 25-22, 13-25, 25-14 and 15-07).

Women champions Kenya Prison earned points without playing after Bungoma County and Kenya Army failed to turn up.

Former champions and finalists Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) won all their matches after edging out Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in straight sets of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-18 and similar score against Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 25-13, 25-17 and 25-15) while Ashoton lost 3-0 (25—20, 25-15 and 25-21) to KDF.
