Gusii end Kibera’s unbeaten run as Kisumu, Elite dominate NSL Sunday fixtures

Gusii FC ended the unbeaten run for Kibera Black Stars in the FKF National Super League (NSL) played at the Gusii Stadium today.

Kibera, who ended the unbeaten run for Shabana in the midweek fixtures lost to their hosts Gusii by a solitary goal scored by Wycliffe Nyangechi in his own net.

With the loss the Evans Omondi coached side has moved to third position as Murang’a Seals take the second position after edging out Naivas FC 2-0 at St Sebastien Park in Murang’a County.

So far Shabana leads the table with 25 points followed by Seals with 21 as Kibera has 20 with Gusii moving to 4th with 18 points.

In other matches, Kisumu AllStars thrashed Mwatate United 5-0 at Moi stadium with goals from Japheth Odoke who grabbed a brace, Bruce Oduor, Laban Otieno and Chrispine Ochieng.

Vihiga United drew against Silibwet Leons 0-0 with Mombasa Elite beating SS Assad 2-1 while Kajiado beat Mara Sugar 2-1
