Harambee Stars has improved two positions in the latest FIFA Ranking released today.
Without playing any match, the national soccer team has moved from 104 to the latest 102 in the world. Since November 2021 after FIFA Suspended Kenya, they have not played any match.
Kenya’s improved performance against neighboring countries like Uganda and Rwanda in the 2022 world cup qualifiers back in November 2021 is responsible for propelling the stars to a higher spot.
Kenya went on 1-1 draw with Uganda in Kampala followed by a 2-1 strategic win over Rwanda in Nairobi.
In East Africa, Uganda leads in the rankings holding position 82 worldwide.
In Africa, Senegal is at the top with the West African Country at position 20 globally followed by Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia holding the top 4 slots in the continent.
Belgium remains the Top country for the fourth consecutive year followed by 2002 world cup winners Brazil and 2018 world cup winners France.
Canada is the year’s most improved with 130.32 point gain holding the 40th position globally as Qatar is in the top 50 ahead of 2022.
