Have your money, Luanda Villa refunds Clephas Shimanyula support money

The National Super League side Luanda Villa has refunded Kakamega Homeboyz owner Cleophas Shimanyula after supporting the team on a trip to Mombasa for the league.

Today, a communication from the club read that Shimanyula, who lost the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidential position, demanded the refund of kes 50,000 from the Vihiga-based club for financial support to honour a match against SS Assad.

 “This is to officially confirm that Luanda Villa Soccer Club has refunded Ksh50,000 to Mr Cleophas Shimanyula as per his request.

 “The amount was initially sent by Mr Shimanyula to assist the team with travel expenses for a scheduled match in Mombasa. However, following the FKF elections and subsequent developments, Mr Shimanyula requested the funds be returned.”

 “Luanda Villa Soccer Club appreciates the initial support from Mr Shimanyula and respects his request for a refund. The club remains committed to fostering positive relations with all its stakeholders. We consider this issue resolved and have updated our financial records accordingly,” read the statement.
