It was a harvest day for kakamega Homeboyz team when Coach Nicholas Muyoti and midfielder Shami Kibwana were today Coach and Player of the Month of July in the concluded Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
Muyoti lead Homeboyz in winning five games out of the six to finish sixth with 46 points with Tusker winning the title.
Muyoti beat Ulinzi Stars 3-1, 4-2 win against Mathare United, Nzoia Sugar 2-1, Sofapaka 2-1, and 4-1 Kariobangi Sharks.
Kibwana who finished the season on 10 goals, scored eight goals in the month with a brace against Ulinzi and Mathare, a goal against Nzoia, hat-trick against Kariobangi Sharks.
There were no winner in the month of April since football activities were stopped for over a month as part of the measures to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic
