Rono, Koech and Rondi storm into 800m finals at World Deaf Athletics

Elkana Kiprop Rono, John Kiplangat Koech and Francis Nyamweya Rondi stormed into the finals of the ongoing World Deaf Athletics Championships in Lublin Athletics Stadium in Poland.

Rono was the first to qualify after fishing third in the first heat after timing 1:58.93 behind hosts nd’s Michal Pawel Kulpa who crossed the line 1:58.56 with second place going to Daniil Baganov from Russia running under (RCDS) who clocked 1:58.61.

Koech and Francis Nyamweya Rondi were placed in heat two and they both finished with 2:00.02 and 2:01.23 respectively with Spain’s Vidal Christian Munoz in a time of 2:00.47 with Aliaksandr Charniak from Belarus taking second place in 2:01.04.
