Shujaa registered the highest score ever against Canada in the opening pool C match at the Hong Kong sevens, the penultmate stage of HSBC World Rugby series today.
The Kenya national rugby team thrashed their perennial opponents 33-10. Canadian Cannor Raid opened the score with unconverted try before Samuel Oliech level with his unconverted try.
Immediate captain Andrew Amonde gave Kenyan team the lead with his converted try for half time whistle lead of 12-05.
Collins Injera converted his 151 try to extend the 19-05 lead but Pat Kay reduced the the lead by his unconverted try to 19-10.
Willy Ambaka and Nelson Oyoo’s converted tries were enough to earn Kenya the much needed win.
Shujaa will face Australia and Spain on Saturday morning.
