Kenya Lionesses, ended pool A unbeaten, in the ongoing Hong Kong Sevens to qualify into quarter final in the Women’s sevens HSBC World sevens series qualification round.
But it was all celebrations for Kevin Wambua’s charges when Lionesses beat reigning Africa Champions South Africa 24-12 in the last pool A match to top the pool that had Mexico and Papua New Guinea.
With Kenya already qualified into the quarter final match following thrashing of both Mexico and Papua New Guinea in the match openers, Lionesses proved their worthy by beating Africa champions to stamp their authority on top.
In other matches, The Lionesses beat Mexico 42-0 in the second match after walloping Papua New Guinea 17-05.
