Fresh from retaining the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) title, Kenya’s top ranked amateur player Michael Karanga Warigia will lead other eight Kenyans, who have been enlisted for the 2025 Africa Amateur Golf Championships.
Ranked number 57 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), the Kiambu player will be set to lead Kenyans at the championships that will be staged at the Leopard Creek gold Club in South Africa starting from February 21st to February 24th.
Among Kenyans who will be traveling to the South include Kenya’s captain John Lejirma from Kenya Railways who is ranked number 166, Kiambu’s Elvis Muigua Gatuhi (631), Nyali’s Adel Taufiq Balala (288), Limuru’s Dennis Maara (1301), Nakuru’s John kamais (656), Kevin Anyien Mogusu (1158) and Vet Lab’s Ebill Omollo (1116).
