Ian Njega will miss the whole of Currie Cup championships for the next six months after picking an injury.
The Kenya Simbas, the national rugby 15s aside underwent a successful surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon after he sustained the injury during their match in South Africa at the Currie Cup Division 1 against Valke where Kenya lost 51-14.
The Paul Odera coached side is in South Africa for about two and a half months training and playing in the Currie Cup in readiness for the 2022 Africa Cup which serves as 2023 Rugby World Cup qualifiers.
