Ibrahim Lande wins Inter-Banks golf title

Kenya Commercial Bank’s Ibrahim Lande fired 43 stableford points to win the 2018 Inter Banks golf tournament played on Par 72 Vet Lab Sports Club on Saturday.

Handicap 29 golfer shot 19 in the front nine and  24 in the back nine to clinch this year’s overall trophy.

He savored a rare double when he led a three man KCB outfit  comprising of Simon Bett, and Timothy Kuria to win the team title with 117 points ahead of a three man Standard Chartered Bank of Paul Njoki, Irene Auma and S. Mwiti to second after garnering 109 points.

Handicap 19 S. Itiola from Stanbic Bank was second with 39 stableford points, beating beat NIC Bank’s B. Matimu and Stanbic’s S. Ndungu on count back as KCB Bank’s Simon Better on 38 points.

Stancahrt’s Paul Njoki and Rose Chepkemoi were men’s and Ladies winners on 38 and 35 points respectively.

Adam Boru from Central Bank of Kenya and Irene Auma were first and secon nine winners 21 each.

Nearest to the pin men’s trophy went to S. Munyua while Nelius Kariuki won the ladies trophy.

Longest drive men and ladies winners were Fred Gatamu and Carol Kiremgo as Edward Muthiga on 33 points was the sponsor’s winner.
