Reigning Kenya Amateur Strokeplay champion Jay Sandhu was crowned the 2026 Windsor Classic champion, part of the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship series, after an impressive performance at the par-72 Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club course.
Representing Muthaiga Golf Club, Sandhu fired a total of seven-under-par 209 to clinch the title, edging out defending champion John Lejirma.
The three-day championship teed off on Friday and concluded on Sunday, with the former Sigona Bowl champion producing a consistent performance across the rounds. Sandhu opened strongly with a four-under-par 68, followed by a one-under-par 71 in the second round on Saturday, before sealing victory with a two-under-par 70 in the final round.
During the opening round, he carded six birdies, ten pars and two bogeys for his four-under result. In the second round, he managed four birdies, eight pars, three bogeys and a double bogey for a one-under 71. Sandhu then closed the tournament with three birdies, 14 pars and a bogey for a two-under 70 to secure the trophy.
Sammy Mulama of Golf Park Golf Club finished second with a total of two-over-par 218, while home player Kanana Muthomi completed the podium in third place on three-over-par 219. Defending champion Lejirma settled for fourth position on four-over-par 220.
