Karanga and Balala tipped to win KAGC overall title in Nyali for Kenya Open slot

Kiambu golfer Michael Karanga will be seeking to win the final leg of Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) at the Nyali golf club.

The 54-hole tournament on par 71 course, Karanga’s win will earn him a slot to play at the Magical Kenya Open set for next year.

The journey that begun at Sigona has had 22 meetings across the country comes to an end with home player, Adel Balala, who has already qualified for Kenya Open and series leader and are going neck-to-neck.

Balala qualified following his victory at the Kenya Amateur Stroke Play championship in Nakuru and was joined by Kenya Railway Golf Club’s John Lejirmah who won the Match Play Championship at Muthaiga.

On the list of top players will be Limuru captain Dennis Maara, Nandi Bears Club’s Nelson Koech among others.
