2019 Kass marathon will include half marathon after scraping the all time 10km category.
Julius Lemaon, the Kass media CEO said that he has been receiving requests to introduce 21km, which will introduce in the 14th edition of the race that will be held on 17th November.
While addressing 2018 Kass marathon winners today in Eldoret during prize giving ceremony, Lemaon said they have considered the request, which will be good for athletes who will be using the race for world marathons.
“Track athletes have been dominating the 10km but now we are introducing the half marathon to provide good training for many budding runners,” said Lemaon.
“We want to have a certified course just like the Kass marathon course is,” he added.
However he warned athletes against doping among athletes that has affected Kenyan runners as some have been banned.
