KCB Rugby and Western Spears were crowned the champions of Kabeberi 7s, the last leg of national circuit at the RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.
In men, Chipu captain Michael Wamalwa hit a brace when KCB hit former champions Nakuru to retain their title won last year at the same venue with 24-0 as they plan for the 15s that starts in November.
Brian Wahinya converted Wamalwa’s try for 7-0 lead before Bob Muhati failed touched down for the second try with Wahinya failing to add the extras for 12-0 lead into water break.
At the resumption, Wamalwa went past the white wash for a brace again with Wahinya converting for 19-0 before Trevor Otawa touched down with Wahinya’s conversion going wide for 24-0 win for the bankers.
In the women, Western Spears Pears recovered from a 7-0 down to win the title in 7-10 win over Impala in their maiden final appearance.
