KCB Rugby were named the champions of the National Rugby 7s series champions after qualifying into the semifinals of the Kabeberi 7s, the final leg of the sevens at the RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.
The bankers, who are second with 91 point in the standings, won the title automatically after Kabras Sugar were crashed out in the quarterfinals by Menengai Oilers 5-12 and with the virtue of reaching semifinals, the bankers will overtake Kabras who have 92 points.
The Andrew Amonde coached side will also be seeking to defend the Kabeberi 7s title if they go past Tisap 7s champions Nondescripts in the semifinals to the finals where they will meet the winner between Nakuru RFC and Menengai Oilers who will face off in semifinal 2 at the same venue.
