Musingu High School has received a major boost after KCB injected KShs. 1.5million to support the school’s football team. The sponsorship aims to enhance the team’s training, facilities and overall competitiveness.

The initiative, launched in 2022, is part of KCB’s long commitment to support grassroot sporting talent to elevate Kenyan football. Beyond enhancing the team’s performance, the program offers opportunities for underprivileged students to access quality education.

Speaking during the announcement, KCB Branch Manager Kakamega, Judy Nekoye said: “KCB is committed to developing and nurturing talent from the grassroots level in our robust aim to elevate Kenyan sports. Musingu, known for its strong football tradition, has become a hub for talent development. The team, also known as the Scorpions, won the Musingu Open Tournament on January 27, 2025. They came second in the recently concluded Ambira Tournament.

“This sponsorship has been a game-changer for our students. Many talented players come from humble backgrounds, and this initiative has given them a platform to shine. We are grateful to KCB for believing in our vision and investing in the future of these young athletes,” noted Musingu High School Principal Bernard Lukuya.
