It was a good start for Kenya Junior Baseball5 team following their victory against hosts Uganda in the opening round of East Africa Regional Baseball5 Championships played at the Hamz Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
The juniors had an impressive fashion, defeating hosts Uganda in straight sets after taking the opening set 5-1 before producing a commanding performance in the second set to cruise to an 11-1 victory and complete a convincing straight-sets win.
The result gives Kenya a strong start in their quest to reclaim the East African title.
]Kenya had originally been scheduled to open the tournament against Tanzania, but the match was not played after the Tanzanian team failed to arrive in time.
With confidence high following the emphatic victory over Uganda, the Kenyan side will now be aiming to build on their momentum as the regional championships continue
