Kenya Lionesses lose to San Clemente ahead World Rugby WXV3 tournament

Kenya Lionesses lost to South Africa San Clemente in their build up match ahead of  World Rugby WXV3 tournament set for Dubai next month.

The Dennis Mwanja coached side lost all their friendly matches as the anticipated world tournaments kicks off on October 13th to 28th.

Mwanja, being assisted by Paul Murunga had earlier on lost 77-12 to Blitzboks ladies as they sharpen the claws after qualifying for the WXV competition by finishing second in the Africa Cup where they defeated Madagascar 29-20.

Captain Knight Otwoma noted that the ladies were showing signs of progress, pointing out that the ladies learnt not to be daunted by their opponents.

Coming from Impala RFC as a captain Otwoma understand the importance of the ladies developing mental strength as they prepared for the WXV 3 tournament.

Otwoma further pointed out that several individuals displayed impressive performances, noting that the Lionesses meant business in the World Rugby WXV 3 tournament. 

The Lionesses face an acid test in the WXV3 tournament, where they face Spain in their opening match on October 14 before taking on Kazakhstan on October 20. They play their final pool match against Colombia on October 27.
