Kenya Lionesses ‘quarantined’ players, officials join the rest

Eight rugby players and officials who were partially quarantined have officially joined the Kenya Lionesses at Karume ahead of Olympic Games to be played in Tokyo, Japan.

This was the last batch of players and officials were quarantined after one of the passengers on their Qatar Airways flight to Tokyo from Doha tested positive for Covid-19 but no Kenyan returned positive results.

The players were Sheila Chanjira, Diana Awino, Vivian Akumu, Leah Wambui, Judith Auma and Stella Nelima while the officials were team manager Camilyne Oyuayo and physiotherapist Samuel Kimotho.

They joined head coach Felix Oloo, captain Philadelphia Olando, Cynthia Camilla, Christabel Lindo, Grace Adhiambo, Sinaida Aura, Janet Okello and Sarah Bridgid Oluche.
