National 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala, Mark Otieno and 400m national record holder Hellen Syombua were the first athletes to arrive in Tokyo for Olympic Games in Japan.
Omanyala, who edged out Otieno to win the tickets for the Tokyo Games will be the first Kenyans to compete in the 100m race at the Games.

They arrived at the karume City with other Track and Field athletes for the pre-Games training.
Syombua won the national title in 51.09 in the one lap race which is the fastest in the country in the women’s 400m.
At the 2019 World Championships held in Yokohama, Japan, Syombua was part of the quartet that bagged a bronze medal in the 4X400m mixed relay
