Reigning Kenya Premier League champions Kenya Police defeated Mogadishu City FC in their opening round of CAF Champions League preliminary round in a match played at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The Etienne Ndayiragije’s Kenyan side won 3-1 in an ‘away’ match ahead of their return leg next weekend still in Nairobi for lack of playing facilities back in Somalia.
Edward Zakayo scored first in the 17th minute for Police before Issa Marsis leveled in the 49th minute but Edward Omondi added the second for Police for 2-1 then David Simiyu sealing the 3-1 win.
