Kenya Prison and KCB win as KPC lose at Africa Women Volleyball championships

Kenya Prisons and KCB won their matches today with Kenya Pip0eline losing at the ongoing Africa Women Club Volleyball championships in Kelibia, Tunisia.

The Prison wardresses recorded their third win in a row following their 3-0 (25-20, 25-20 and 25-20) against Rwanda Patriotic Army from Rwanda to top pool C.

After winning bronze last year, the Josp Barasa coached side will be aiming bigger cake at the championships.

With the victory, the Kenyan side will either face La Loi of Democratic Republic of Congo or hosts Kelibia in the round of 16 on Thursday.

After losing yesterday, KCB bounced back with straight sets victory against Ndeje University of Uganda in 25-22,25-10,25-16.

Yesterday, the bankers lost to champions Carthage of Tunisia in 1-3 (20-25,17-25,25-13,14-25) and finished second in pool B.

The victory means KCB has moved to the best of round after beating Mimosa of Ivory Coast on Sunday 3-0( 3-0 (25-13,25-12,25-10) in the opening fixtures on Sunday and they will face Customs of Nigeria in the round of 16 after finishing third in pool  D.

KPC recorded their first loss in the championships against Al Alhy of Egypt in their final pool D.

With both teams unbeaten, KPC went down 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 22-25 and 29-31) to finish second.

They coast based club beat Customs of Nigeria 3-0 (25-19,25-18,25-9) and El Wak of Ghana 3-0 (25-19,25-17,25-22).
