Seline Ahoya and faith Urasa will lead Kenya team seeking to retain the Confederation of Africa Tennis East Africa Zone Championships in Kigali, Rwanda.
The championships that serves off on Wednesday, the duo will lead team Kenya in the girls’ Under-16 and Under-14.
Ahoya the winner of U-12 at the East Africa event in Kigali last weekend, will marshall forces alongside Melissa Mwakha and Stacey Yego in the girls’ U-14 category while Urasa will lead the likes of Reha Kipsang, and Hadassah Mjine in the girls’ under 16 category.
In the boys’ Baraka Ominde, Brian Nyakundi, and Ayush Bhandari will be in the under 14 category while Liberty Baraka, Gilbert Wechuli, and Alvin Kimathi will play in the under 16.
Kenya will be up against hosts Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and Tanzania in the week-long championship. Team captain Joseph Karanja said the goal for the boys will be to upstage Uganda.
