Hosts Kenya and holders South Africa were victorious in the opening fixtures of the Africa Women Rugby championships that kicked off today at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, Kenya.
In the four nations championships, the matches will be played in round Robin with top team earning title on Sunday evening.
The Kenya Lionesses lived their expectations, bringing joy to home fans with a 43-10 victory against Uganda’s Crane Lionesses.
On Wednesday,Kenya will play Madagascar before hosting South Africa on Sunday to determine the winner.
in the first match, reigning champions South African edged out Madagascar 75-05 in a one sided encounter at the same venue.
With victory, South Africa will play Uganda on Wednesday.
