Eldoret Falcon started their second leg on a high note in the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) Zone B against Bulemia fc played at Kipchoge Keino stadium in Eldoret on Saturday 2nd.
Hosts used the home ground advantage to a marathon goal scoring galore of 9-0 against their visitors in the opening match of the league with new signings Juliet Naliaka and Quinter Obiero netting a hatrick and a goal respectively.
The former Oserian striker, Naliaka netted her first goal in her new club on 6th minute, 22nd and 28th minutes to add flavor in the team that struggled to win in the last season.
The win was good for Eldoret Falcon in their first match after they missed to play last weekend when Nyamira County Starlets was struck from the league.
Ruth Ingosi netted a brace in the match. She opened the score with just four minutes into the match before Naliaka adding the second on 6th minute.
Experienced Ascar Metto scored the third goal on 15th minute as Naliaka netted her second on 22nd before another signing Susan Etisi netted the fifth three minutes later.
As the match was heading into the break, Naliaka made netted a hatrick on 28th minute sending her team into break with 5-0.
On resumption, Bulemia tried their best but that did not match their hosts scoring machine. Ten minutes into the second half, Ingosi made her brace followed by Elizabeth Mulupi’s 66th minute goal before another new signing Quinter Obiero sealed the victory for hosts.
Host coach Joshua Ariko was a pleased man following his dismal performance last season.
“We had a clear focus and we managed to win the match which was our target. Every player did what she was supposed to do hence such big win,” said Ariko who now shifts focus to next match against leaders Wadadia in Mumias next weekend.
In a revenge mission, The Falcons lost 2-1 to Bulemia in the first leg.
