Kenyan Legends Rugby 15s team continued with their stellar performance following their victory against Uganda Legends rugby 15s team during the match played today at Kyadondo RFUA Grounds in Uganda.
The Kampala encounter was good for Kenyans who won 17-19 away from home ahead of their return leg in Nairobi later.
Kenya, under the tutelage of former Impala Saracens coach Oscar Osir, made three consecutive victories against their Ugandan counterparts after coming from 3-0 behind.
Davis Kyewalabye slotted in the penalty foe 3-0 lead but Kenyan Legends made two fast tries for 3-12 into break.
After resumption, Kenya’s Darwin Mukidza made the third try with a conversion for 3-19 but pressure form the hosts especially Laurence Ssebuliba made the try, converted by Chris Lubanga for 10-19 then Kyewalabye converted his try for 17-19 final whistle.
Last year, Kenya won against Ugandans 24-15 in Nairobi then 26-15 in Kampala for 50-30 aggregate. Before that, Kenyan Legends had won the 2023 title with a commanding 69-18 aggregate win.
