Kenya men came from a goal down to defeat Zambia at the ongoing Junior Africa Cup in Windhoek, Namibia.
The under 21 side were 2-1 winners against Zambia in a hotly contested match with hopes of reaching the classification matches and qualifying for the Junior World Cup.
Zambia scored in the 22nd minute to hand Zambia the lead through Abraham Tagwirey but resilient Kenya came back with Charles Ashiundu converted from the penalty to level the score at 1-1.
In the 43rd minute, Kenya’s Matthias Gulalaire made no mistake, scoring from a flick after a short corner for a final 2-1 win for Kenya.
Following the draw, kenya men have garnered five points from four matches played so far.
It was a one-all draw in the Women side against Zambia with Kenya scoring first before Zambia leveling matters.
Brenda Mwangandi was on target in the 26th minute before Christine kaluba scored from the penalty corner.
