Kenyan pros, amateurs set for the battle at Kenya Open

Top Kenyan professional and amateur golfers are set to face off with foreigners at the Kenya Open golf championships on par 71 Karen Country club.

All the twelve Kenyan pros are Mathew Omondi (Vet Lab), Edwin Inana Asuza (Vet Lab), Riz Charania (Windsor), CJ Wangai (Sigona), Samuel Njoroge (Railway), legendary Jacob Okello (Golf Park), Simon Ngige (Thika Club), Greg Snow (Muthaiga), Indiza, Justus Madoya (Great Rift Valley) and Golf Park duo of David Wakhu and Eric Ooko and all foreign golfers were tested today for coronavirus ahead of the Thursday morning tee-off in a four day encounter ahead of European Tour.

The amateurs are Jay Sandhu of Royal Nairobi, Muthaiga youngster Taimur Malik, Paul Muchangi (Limuru), Mutahi Kibugu and Vet Lab player Isaac Makokha.

At the same time, the bubble will be based at Ole Sereni and Tamarind Tree while Greg Snow and the five Kenyan amateurs based at Ole Sereni.
