Kenyans Ebenyo, Chepngeno settles for silver as Kissa and Kebede wins Tata Steel World 25km

The reigning World Half marathon silver medalist Daniel Ebenyo Simiu won silver at the 2024 Tata Steel World 25km race held today in Kolkata, India.

The Kenya finished second behind Ugandan Stephen Kissa who cut the tape at 1:12:33 ahead of Simiu’s 1:12:37 with Anthony Kipchirchir sealing the podium at 1:12:5.

In women, Ethiopia’s Sutume Kebede successfully retained her title after edging out Kenyans, crossing the finish line in 1:19:17 ahead of Kenya’s Viola Chepngeno finished second in 1:19:44, with Bahrain’s Desi Jisa taking third in 1:21:29.
