Three time world half marathon champion Geoffrey Kipsang kamworor and Jackline Cherono edged out opponents to win today’s Rotterdam marathon.
The former New York City marathon champion, Kamworor won the title in 2:04:33 beating Ethiopians Chala Regasa to second at 2:05:06 and compatriot Chimdesa Debele to third at 2:05:26.
It was the similar script in women when Kenyan Cherono shone after crossing the finish line in 2:21:15 ahead of Ethiopian Aminet Ahmed who was second at 2:22:14 and another Ethiopian Azmera Gebru was third at 2:22:15.
