Kenya’s Harambee Stars drop in latest FIFA Ranking

Kenya’s Harambee Stars, the national men’s football team has dropped in FIFA ranking in the latest ranking.

The Benni McCarthy side dropped two positions down from 109 in July to 111 in August following their loss to Gambia 3-1 and 5-0 winning to Seychelles in World Cup qualifiers, both at home.

Kenya lost to Gambia that is lowly ranked cost the team contributing to the drop in the rankings. Gambia, meanwhile, have moved one place up and are now ranked 115th.

Globally, European champions Sapin have climbed to the top of the rankings, overtaking Argentina, who dropped to third. France moved up to second.

In Africa, Morocco have moved up one place to lead the continent and sit 11th globally. Senegal remain second in Africa and 18th in the world, while Egypt are third on the continent and 35th globally.

In East Africa, Uganda remain top at 82nd globally, followed by Tanzania in 107th position, and then Kenya
