Africa Games 400m hurdles champion Vanice Kerubo retained her national title as Kip Keino Classic, the World Athletics Continental Tour kicked off at Nyayo Stadium today.
Kerubo, from Nyanza clocked 1:02.29 to claim the national title ahead of independent Caro waiganjo (1:04.82) with Kenya Defence Forces Elizabeth Kimuyu in 1:06.09 completing the podium.
In walk, was a good start for African champion Samuel Gathimba and Africa silver medallist Grace Wanjiru to become the first athletes to win their respective titles.
Gathimba and Wanjiru won the 20km race walk in the early morning show.
