Njoroge turns professional

Railway Club golfer Samuel Njoroge has turned professional after a long spell as an amateur golfer in the country.

Ranked position 523 in the prestigious World Amateur Golf Ranking, Njoroge surpassed the Professional Golfers of Kenya, PGK, requirements for turning pro after consistently playing in the amateur events.

Njoroge is joining the pro ranks at a time debate is raging on the viability of professional golf in Kenya.

He will be gracing the European Tour for former Njoro Golf Club player. He is banking on his form and consistency that has seen him dominate the East Africa amateur scene for the last four years.

His first duty will be on Sunday when he will be chasing Limuru Safari Tour ahead of Magical kenya Open at Karen club.
