Kibabii University will host the Kenya University Sports Association (KUSA) indoor Games this weekend in Bungoma County.
For the first, the indoor games have been separated from other disciplines to avoid marginalization and them a voice.
Kusa secretary Joseph Sandagi said that such games had lost sense and lacked fans when they played together with football, athletics, volleyball among others.
“When we hosted such sporting disciplines with the rest, nobody bothered to visit the halls and cheer the players but we have decided to give it a chance,” said Sandagi.
The indoor games to be staged in Kibabii include Badminton, Scrabble, Chess, Table Tennis, Tae Kwondo, Karate, Swimming among others.
The two day showbiz will bring together all universities across the country.
