Kibet on hattrick as Rising Stars whip Sudan at CECAFA

Rising Stars, the national under 20  men’s team continued with their superlative performance by beating Sudan in their last pool A at the CECAFA cum AFCON qualifiers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Salim Babu coached team won 4-0 to top the pool on ten points after playing four matches with Aldrine Kibet netting a hat-trick with Kevin Wangaya scoring one.

Wangaya’s goal today mark’s  4^th of the tournament. Kibet was on target in the second match of the match for a 1-0 lead before adding his second goal in the 12^th minute for 2-0 and in the 40^th minute, Kibet bagged his hattrick for 3-0 and Wangaya sealed the 4-0 victory.

With the victory, Kenya tops the pool on ten points with nine goals ahead of hosts Tanzania with 9 points and ten goals.
