Kibet, Wanyonyi sail through, Chepkosgei is disqualified in 800m at world under 20

Kenyans Noah Kibet and Emmanuel Wanyonyi qualified to compete at the 800m semifinals while Sheila Chepkosgei was qualified at the ongoing World under 20 championships.

Kibet won heat one in men’s qualifying round in 1:46.00 as Wanyonyi won the second heat in 1:46.1 to make the 800m semis.

But it was hurting as Kenya’s Chepkosgei was disqaulifed after she miscalculated in lanes, stepping inside for her to be disqualified despite winning heat one.
