It was night of laughs for Kenyan athletics lovers when Benjamin Kigen and Emmanuel Korir ended the Diamond League season in high spirit.
After losing an Olympic 3,000m steeplechase title, settling for bronze, Kigen has proved to be a man to reckon with after winning the Zurich meeting, the final round of the series, adding on his Paris meeting.
As Kigen shine in water and barriers, Korir, the Olympic 800m gold medalist was on top of his heels, winning the two lap race to seal the top positions.
The duo followed the wins after Faith Kipyegon, Timothy Cheruiyot and Niarha Jeruto had shone in 1,500m and 3,000m steeplechase women respectively.
