Kipchoge now a Laureus

Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge has been appointed the ambassador for the Laureus Sport for Good- a global charity that supports children and young people by using the power of sport to end violence, discrimination, and disadvantage.

In an interview with Laureus Academy Michael Johnson on Laureus.com, the world marathon record holder accepted the offer.

Kipchoge will now be a member of the Laureus Family whose goal is to use the power of sport to change young people’s lives for the better and will be joining about 200 Laureus Ambassadors and 69 Laureus World Sports Academy Members.

Laureus Sport for Good was created 20 years ago in the aftermath of a remarkable speech by Nelson Mandela at the inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards in 2000.
