Reigning world under 20 10,000m champion Rhonex Kipruto won the third leg of Stockholm Diamond League with a meeting record yesterday.
As former world cross country champion Agnes Jebet Tirop shone in women’s 5,000m.

Kirptuo, who competed at the world cross country championships finishing 6th overall won the race in 26:50.16 ahead of Ethiopia’s Hagos Gebrhiwet (27:01.02) and Eritrea’s Aaron Kifle (27:27.68) for third position.
The prodigy broke the record that was last set by Richard Chelimo in 1993.
Reigning world 10,000m bronze medalist Agnes Tirop won women’s 5,000m timing 14:50.82 ahead of Ethiopia’s Fantu Worku (14:51.31) and kenya’s Lilian Kasait in third clocking 14:51.34.
Timothy Cheruiyot was the 1,500m champion by clocking 3:35.79 followed by Ayania Suleimann (3:37.30) and Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s 3:37.30..
