Kenya’s Reuben Kipyego will headline the 44th edition of the Istanbul Marathon set for November 5th.
Kipyego, the 2019 Abu Dhabi Marathon champion, will face a strong deep elite field that includes the reigning Zurich Maraton de Sevilla champion Gadise Shumie of Ethiopian.
The two will not have an easy time as they will have to go past the race defending champion Robert Kipkemboi.
The former Youth Olympic Games 3000m steeplechase bronze medallist Moses Koech will be making his debut over the distance.
In women, Beatrice Cheptoo will be chasing the Istanbul title Uganda’s Rachel Chebet will be making her debut over the distance as well as Turkey’s Sultan Haydar
