KIROS Kahsay Tsige bags second gold at CAC African Championships in Diani

‎‎ Kiros Kahsay Tsige picked where she had left yesterday in today’s CAC Championships, winning the second gold both for her and the country.

The Ethiopian budding lady, won the 64.5km junior women title at the ongoing CAC Road Cycling African Championships  in Diani, Kwale County when she crossed the finish line in 2:02:58 in a sprint finish against Rwandese Yvonne Masengesho scooping silver and compatriot Kssnet Grmay Gebreslasse settling for bronze.

Her second gold came after yesterday’s triumph in Junior Women 14km Individual Time Trial (ITT).

‎She admitted the conditions have tested the riders’ resilience as much as their speed.

‎‎“Since yesterday, the weather conditions have been hot and very challenging. Today the weather was a bit more windy. I have joined a club in Spain and I am hoping to expand my resume in cycling,” Tsige said.

The young Rwandan is already steering her ambitions toward the next continental showdown.

‎‎“My target is to win gold at the next African Championships.”
