Kithome, Wanyonyi, Kiprotich, Kimeu qualify into 4x400m relay finals at world under 20

Sprinters Peter Kithome, Joshua Wanyonyi, Elkanah Kiprotich and Kennedy Kimeu qualified into the finals of 4x400m men’s relays finals at the ongoing world under 20 championships in Kasarani stadium.

Kithome started the baton, with Wanyonyi, Kiprotich and Kimeu to finish second in heat one behind Jamaica team with 3:05.77 and Kenya coming second 3:05.82 as Botswana claimed the last automatic qualifying place in 3:06.33.

Kimeu said setting the fastest qualifying time sets the momentum for them ahead of the final.
